Together we can make a difference

Eyla wants to be a part of the environmental change. Every one of us matters and has a role to play in making the world a better place, which is why everything we create is made with that in mind.

We take our environmental responsibility seriously, which is why we use ECONYL® regenerated nylon for our swimwear. By buying our products, you help to clean up the Earth.

The ECONYL® REGENERATION SYSTEM:

No waste. No new resources, Just endless possibilities.

1. RESCUE

The ECONYL® Regeneration System starts by rescuing waste, such as fishing nets, industrial plastic and carpet flooring. That waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover as much nylon as possible.

2. REGENERATE

The nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity by a radical purification process. ECONYL® regenerated nylon is therefore equivalent to fossil-based nylon.

3. REMAKE

ECONYL® regenerated nylon is processed into carpet or textile yarn for the fashion and interior design industries.

4. REIMAGINE

The beauty of ECONYL® regenerated nylon is that it has the potential to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality. We believe circular design is the future, and using ECONYL® yarn is our first step on that journey.

PACKAGING

True to our values, we take reusable bags for packaging which are also recyclable. They are made of calico, which is woven from all-natural cotton fibres.

Our hangtags are made from seed paper - you can plant them in your garden and flowers, herbs or vegetables will grow. Isn’t that super cool ?

How it works:

1. Place your hangtag in a sunny spot in your garden.

2. Cover the seeded paper with 1/8 of an inch of soil.

3. Water often.

4. Watch wildflowers bloom and enjoy!

ETHICAL MANUFACTURING

Our swimwear is manufactured ethically on the beautiful island of Bali. With our focus on quality and sustainability, we carefully chose a manufacturer who matched our values, such as good working conditions for the employees and ethics. Each eyla piece is handmade with care in Bali.

The employees’ salaries are at least double the minimum wage, they receive 13 months’ salary a year and free medical insurance which covers doctors’ fees. A fresh, healthy cooked meal is provided for lunch every day. Workers are paid double for overtime and working condition are on a par with Western standards.

The manufacturer is very cautious about waste. All left-over fabrics are donated to local charities, which make them into saleable goods.
